The brief

G Travel With Style needed a magazine, not a brochure: destination guides, hotels, aviation, yachting and food stories, published regularly by editors who should never have to touch code.

What I built

Built the site on Next.js with Payload CMS, so editors write and schedule stories, upload photography and manage categories from an admin panel.

Organised the editorial around four worlds (Air, Land, Water and Taste), each with its own landing page and story feed.

Added a homepage radio player, localised routes starting with the English edition, and image processing that serves resized photography automatically.

Deployed it to a dedicated Hetzner server with Caddy, automated backups and a GitHub Actions pipeline that deploys on every merge.

Result

Editors publish new stories without a developer.
Each deploy is backed up first, and uploads and the database live outside the deploy path, so a release cannot wipe content.
