Project overview
Open Job Board EU turns scattered company career pages into one searchable dataset. The project discovers European companies from multiple sources, locates their career pages, extracts available roles, merges duplicate records, and publishes the result as a static web application.
What I built
- 01
Built a multi-source Python scraping pipeline for company discovery and career-page extraction.
- 02
Added FastAPI endpoints for companies, jobs, source health, filters, sorting, and debugging statistics.
- 03
Created a React and Vite front end with search, country filters, pagination, and a dark component-based interface.
- 04
Automated data refreshes and static GitHub Pages deployment with separate GitHub Actions workflows.
Implementation notes
The static deployment reads committed JSON data, so visitors can search the latest successful dataset without requiring a permanently running API server.
Source-health output makes blocked or degraded scrapers visible instead of silently publishing incomplete data.
